Listening, Considering, Deciding What does it take to be a board member? lt takes a number of things. First you must be willing to devote a lot of time to the job. Second, you must be able to think things through and make decisions and third, you must have patience to listen to other people and their problems and ideas. There is one other quality you must possess and that is the determination to make the Turner school district a better place for students to learn.
