A Thurber Carnival employs large cast of THS students Determined to get Turner's first theatrical production out on October 17, the drama department had a lot of preparation to do. The fearless TAOTA members, fled by the intrepid Mrs. Chaissonj, sta- pled, tacked, painted, and yawned their way through the needed props. Finally their night had come. With a kiss for luck and a lot of crossed fin- gers, the curtain rose. Each half opened by a Word Dance , dances from different eras with quips on people in modern soci- ety between. The height of the play was entitled The Last Flower , After the Twelfth World War, there was no vegetation to be found on the face of the earth save one lone flower. Only two small chil- dren remained of the whole human race. They nursed the flowerg they loved it and it grew. They grew up and replenished the earth. Everyone was happy and there was love throughout the world. Sadly, along with love, there is always hate. Another war oc- curred and all that was left was a flow- er, a boy, and a girl.
