of life keep peace with your soul. and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. ,iff 'fr r 'N Of course there is sadness. How else would we know happiness? Of course there is tragedy. How else would we grow? With the deaths of Miss Elizabeth Ann Choplin and Stephen Lee Littlefield, we students grew a lot. We learned to accept death as a fact of life. We learned to find comfort in our memories. We remember Chopper's laugh, her vitali- ty, and her understanding. We remember Steve's friendli- ness, his cheerfulness, and his integrity. We live, we grow, we live.

Robin Mailberg Dances, drama, and assemblies bring relief to hectic school life their privileges . . F' The senior lounge? Well, I'm on the committee and at first we had a real rigid plan, but it's relaxed a lot . . . I think that without rules the students feel more responsible and don't misuse A pass-fail system? I have two sides on that. It would be bad because there would be no distinction between being number one in your class and just barely passing . . . It might encour- age true learning, though. A person could concentrate on the subjects he's interested in without worrying about his gades in other subjects dropping. Kim Haden
