In J our- nalism I, students learn compact, concise ways in which to report, and in Journalism II, they use their skill to pub- lish the BOOSTER, Turner High School's newspaper. Speech and drama teach communication through body gestures and facial expressions as well as through speaking, while stagecraft students learn the practical aspects of producing a play. This is important as it exposes girls to all areas of homemaking which they will someday need. They are educated in other areas of living, and education in home economics is one they need for maintaining a home and family. Girls may choose courses in Clothing I and II, Foods I and II, and Homeliving. In these courses they learn about sewing, cooking, meal planning, interior decora- ting, and home management. Miss Rosemary Grosdidier is head of the Home Eco- nomics Department. .
