jj , ' JJ! , Providing entertainment for the mixers were various live bands hired by the Student Council. IXER Turner High School mixers are held after every home football and basketball game for an admission of only 50C, The mixers begin 45 minutes after football games and 30 minutes after basketball games. Turner high students and graduates are permitted without any obligation. If you wish to bring a guest, a guest ticket must be purchased. For the working students of T.H.S., a late list is provided. The live music of popular bands en- hance the spirit of the students. Mixers are a fine opportunity for fun and relaxation after tense moments of the preceeding game. Kooky clothes, laughs, and dancing are always common- place for these Senior students at mixers. x Mona Zanetello concentrates on a fast dance while the music sends out a steady beat produced by one of many bands which performed at all-school mixers.

SPORTS BANQUET The Fall Athletic Banquet, sponsored by the Turner Lions Club and the Turner Athletic Dept., was held on November 15, 1966 in the school cafeteria. A steak din- ner was served to the football players and their parents. The dinner was held in honor of the football players. Awards were presented to the Varsity, Jr. Varsity, and Sophomore football players by the coaching staff. Dr. Charles Lukinac, physician and former graduate of Tur ne r High School was the guest speaker for the evening. Mr. Lukinac stressed individual improvement in a person if he wants to be- come a success. An award ofappreciation waspre- sented by the Sophomore team to Coach Waugh, after each boy had received his letter. Shown here is one of the Feaster twins CRamon or Robertj getting a trophy. Also in on the ceremony is Bill Gerber, Roger Graham, and the other Feaster twin. Sophomore Coach Hubert Waugh, having another outstanding year with his soph's, hands a trophy to Ralph Wallace. Receiving special notice is Tom Spradling and Bill Gerber for being the biggest yard gainers on the squad. Assisting in the handing out of awards is CoachWaugh's helper, Coach Gerald Shoemaker.

HOMECOMING One of the most beautiful traditions at Turner is Homecoming. 'This year's Homecoming dance was one of the most successful in recent years with the Chonta1s playing before a record atten- dance. It was truly a night to remember for the Turner Bears as they defeated Ottawa along with having Paula Tisdale, Football Candidate, selected as 1966 Home- coming Queen. The Senior Class was proudly repre- sented by Miss Sharon Witt, the Class of '68 selected Miss Carol Gentry as their candidate, and Brenda Caton charmingly represented the Sophomores. Marty Syring acted as Crown-bearer, and Stephanie Goetz carried the flowers. Paula Tisdale and Frank Stankiewicz, 1966 Homecoming king and queen. The traditional crown and roses are carefully laid aside in preparation for the big moment. Stephanie Goetz and Marty Syrlng perform their part of the ceremony with apprehensive dignity. l P
