PRESS BALL Presentation of Royalty Was Awaited by all The initial highlight of the evening was directed to the presentation of Turnerite Royalty, by Steve Holt and Linda Innes, Mis- tress and Master of Ceremonies. Prior to the Press Ball, the Senior class elected thirty couples to run in a student wide election for .Royalty finalists. Sixteen couples were then elected and personally interviewed by eight impartial judges, ranging from teach- ers to business executives. Finalists were recognized during the Royalty ceremony and as each prince and prin- cess was announced, they proceeded to the cen- ter of the room where they were crowned by the 1965 Homecoming King and Queen, Gene Mertz and Vicki Hecke. They were assisted by Terri Elsbury and Steve Straub, flower girl and crown earer. Prince and Princess of Achievement: Terry Gerkovich and Sharon Turner. 20 Prince and Princess of Athletics: Bob Howard and Connie LaPoint. Prince and Princess of Talent: John Sullivan and Bette Cox.

JR.-SR. PROM Was A Towering Success With a Theme of Paris Enchantment The theme of the 1964-65 Junior- Senior Prom, An Evening in Paris was complete- ly carried outg the gym was decorated as an French outdoor cafe. The guests Were entertained by amusing skits and danced to The Shadows . Danny Gilbert, dressed as a Frenchman, took pic- tures of the couples for mementos. Punch and French pastry was servedg the tables were decorated with a checked tablecloth and a candle. Lois Middleton and Cheryl Barnett swirled and twirled as Parisian can-can dancers at the Jr.- Sr, Prom. Jack Andrew, Cindy Webb, Susan Potchad, and Jim Kendall enjoy the evening dancing and nibbling on French pastry. War 1461 Fwxym aww mm IQ .N-fm., lm' i1,1
