Learning Languages Link Lands ,J n M., A 1 I came, -I saw, I conquered. These are familiar words to Mrs. Grey's Latin II students. Today more than ever the people ofthe world need to be able to communicate and understand each other. It is almost essential that students in school today learn as much foreign language as possible. The world of tomorrow is going to be a closely-linked community and tomorrow's leaders must be able to work closely together to preserve a world of peace. Turner offers two foreign languages in its curriculum: Latin, the basis of English language, and French, one of the prominent languages spoken in the world. The language department at Turner is continually growing as a new French teacher was added to the faculty this year. Students are encouraged to broaden their knowledge by taking advan- tage of the opportunity to learn about other people of the world by studying their lan- guage. 1 LUCY GREY A.B.
