Served in the Asiatic Theater, Philippine Liberation and Haley's Third and Fifth. Citation for Okinawa. Transferred to Olathe Naval Air Sta- tion for discharge. NEALEY. Leon M. Class of '43 Pfc. Leon M. Nealey entered Army, Feb, 25, 1944. Basic training at Camp Roberts, Calif. Em- barked in jan. 1945. Was in Patton's 2nd Army and Crossed the Rhine. Is now stationed in Austria, NEALEY, Wa yman L. Class of '4, Cpl. Wayman L. Nealey entered the Army March 29, 1943. Basic training at Bucyrus, Ohio, Served in the China, Burma, India Theater with the Ry, Shop Bn. Discharged Dec. 1, 1945. NEMECHECK. Walter Sgt. Walter Nemecheck entered the Army Jan., 1942. Went to school at Kansas State College, un- til july, 1942. Basic training at Miami Beach, Fla. Further training at Ft. Monmouth, N. J.: Palm Beach, Fla.: Kelly Field, SanAntonio, Texas. Is now serving at Calcutta, India, as a Signal Corps Man. ULIVER, Howard LaVerne SfSgt. Howard LaVerne Oliver entered Army on Aug. 12, 1943. Basic training at Camp Adair, Ore. Served in Pacific Theater on Islands of Solomons, New Hebrides, and Philippines. Awarded Good Con- Medal. OLIVER' Harold E. SjSgt. Harold E. Oliver entered Army in Sept., 1942. Basic training at Camp Polk, La. Went over- seas on Oct. 12, 1944. Served in England and ETD with 11th Armored Division. Awarded Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart, and Bronze Star. Killed in action in Germany, Jan. 1, 194i OLSQN, Robert Waldene Pfc. Robert Waldene Olson entered Army on July 23, 1945. Basic training at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, where he is now stationed. Returned to States inDecember 1945. Awarded the Purple Heart. Belgium Citation, Presidential Citation, Holland Citation, Good Conduct Medal, ETO Ribbon and two battle stars. OLSON, Robert Olaf Pfc. Robert Olaf Olson entered Army on March 25' 1944, Basic training at Camp Roberts, CaliL Further trainingat Ft. Benning, Ga. Wounded over- seas Dec. 31, 1944. Returned toStates to Bushnell Hospital. Mitchell entered the Army lay 15, 1942. lent on active duty as Aviation Cadet Au , 4 . Served in South west andCentral E 13- 19 2 Pacific for 15 months. Released to inactive duty DCC- 17, 1945- MITCHELL. Robert L- C1181 Of '41 M. M. 1fc Robert L. Mitchell entered the Navy july 15, 1940. Served in the North Atlantic until December 1942. Transferred to the U.S.S. Erben DD621 in the Pacific Theater December, 1942. Was engaged in 5 major battles and discharged at St. Louis, Mo., SGPY. 19. 1945- Mgxgg, john J. , Class of -37 TjSgt. john J. Mixer entered the Army March 24, 1941. Basic training at Fort Riley and further training at various other camps throughout the U. S.-Embarked with the 59th Inf. Division from Camp Kilmer, N. J. las killed in action April 16 1945 near Leipzig. Awarded the Combat Infantry- man's Badge in the field and was posthumously a- warded the Bronze Star Medal andthe Purple Heart. MIXER, Thomas E. jr. Class of '39 Cpl. Thomas E. Mixer Jr. entered Marine Corps Sept. 15, 1943, for basic training at San Diego. Embarked for Pacific Theater, jan., 1944. Par- ticipated in the battles of Saipan, Quinian, Roe, Malue, and Iwo Jima. Discharged. MONTGO ERY, M. E. Class of '40 Lt. fig, H. E. Montgomery entered the Navy Nov. 10, 1942. Served in the Pacific Theater. Awarded Air Medal and Distinguished Flying Corss. IOORE. Albert j. Class of '45 F Qfc Albert 2. Moore Jr. entered the Navy july 17, 1945. A ter boot training he entered Fireman School. Further training at Coronado Bay. On board the U.S.S. Iowa B. B. 61 since Jan. 10. IOORE, Edward Monroe Class of '35 Petty Officer 2fc Edward Monroe Moore entered Navy Dec. 9, 1943. Basic training at Farragut, Idaho, further training at San Diego, Calif. Com- missioned to the U.S.S. Capriciinus in June 1944. Wounded when suicide plane struck the ship off Okinawa. Is still serving in the Pacific. MOORE, Jack Eugene Class of '42 Pfc. Jack Eugene Moore entered the Army Oct. 5, 1942. Basic training at Camp Kohler, Calif. 'ent over aeaa Oct. 3, 1943. Was stationed at Bury St. Edmonds, England. Is now discharged. MOORE, Rugsell I. Class of '41 M. I. 1fC Russell M. Moore entered the Navy June 17, 1942. Basic training at Great Lakes and later at Norfolk, Va. Served on U.S.S. Green and U.S.S. Tunston in Pacific Theater. Participated in landings of Africa, Sicily, Italy, Saipan, Leyte, Luzon and has seven battle stars. Now is aboard the U.S.S.E.G. Small, serving in Mediter- ranean Area. 21 'K

PEMBERTON, Robert Tfsgt. Robert Pemberton entered Army Oct., 1942. Basic training at Fort Riley and Camp Hood. Further training at A.S.T.P. School at Mo. Univ. Landed on Okinawa on D-Day. Took part in invasions of Angar, Pellelui, Ulithi, Leyte, Luton, and Okinawa. Discharged jan. 15, 1946, Hospital Apprentice. POTTER, James W. Pfc. James W. Potter entered Army Feb. 15, 1943. Basic training at Miami Beach, Fla. Further training at Ordinance School in Spokane, Wash. Served in Army Air Force in Italy. Served3 months in A.T.C. in Brazil. Price started asEngineer for Con- Sair Airways A.T.C. the last of 1941, flying to different Islands until Dec. 15, 1945. Under Air Transport Command delivering planes, freight, and passengers from San Francisco toHawaii, Australia Guadalcanal, New Guinea, and Phi1ippines.Made from one to two trips a month. Round trip was about fifteen thousand miles or more. RAGAN, George Larry, F.-W.T.:O. larry Ragan entered U.S. Maritime Service in 1944. Graduated from Maritime School on Catalina Is., and has since served on the U.S. S. Gulf Caribbean, Troop Carrier U.S.S. Cape Can- so, andT-2 U.S.S. Beecher Island.
