Whatsoc-ver thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might, for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goestf' -Ecclesiastes 9:10 There is a right way and a wrong way to measure our earthly existence. I confront you with this stupendous question: How old art thou? Toward what destiny are you tending, and how fast are you getting on toward it? The brightest life must have its shadows, and the smoothest path its thorns, yet it is unfair to measure a man's life by his misfortunes, be- cause where there is one stalk of nightshade there are fifty marigolds. Some estimate life on earth by the amount of money accumulated. Now money may rep- resent refinement, education, and pleasant sur- roundings, but vve leave this world without a penny or a single certificate of stock. There are many who estimate their lives by the good they can accomplish. Of this I am sure: There is for each of you a field to culti- vate, a harvest to reap, a tear to wipe away, a soul to save.
