The . Faculty ILENTLY gazing at the visions, both imaginary and real, which 'have impressed themselves upon my forgetful memory, there passes before mymind a procession of learned men and women- the faculty. Though not a conspicuous group, they are the ones to whom we owe our success. They have endeavored to impart to us their knowledge of the world acquired through many years of expe- rience and study. t A worthy group, indeed, are the dispensers of knowledge who pass before me, physicists, chemists, mathematicians, musicians, linguists, English teachers, mechanics, physical torturists, and carpenters, p Ah, that we could have grasped all the knowledge that they have tried so hard to instill into our unfertile minds! When we resumed our studies in September after the all-too-short summer vacation, we found many changes in the teaching staff. During the summer months many of our former faculty embarked upon the rolling seas of matriniony and settled down to await the fate of time and eternity. Of the twenty-two teachers, only fourteen returned to their former duties. ' Our present faculty consists of twenty-six ever-willing helpers when we are in need of assistance .or advice. Furthermore, they help to put pep and life into our school activities. Carp, Mac, ,and Nick are some of the common names among the boys, while Shortie fMiss Reedj, sweet Miss Hyde, and Miss Neeley attract the admiration of the feminine element. The Seniors, as they depart from T. 'U. H. S. to start the machinery of life, will never forget the advice and kind attention given them by the faculty of 1920-21. Our class advisors-Miss Meyer, Mrs. Roach, and Mrs. Holt-have ever ,been ready to assist us during the past year. Our advice to the lower classmen as they advance in high school life is to conduct themselves so that they can say as we do now, Members of the faculty, we thank you for your advice and kind attention, we shall ever praise you in word and deed, and, as we leave the portals of this school, we give three rousing cheers for the kind- ness and attention which you have give11 us. A SENIOR. 9
