Mr. Donovan, our superintendent, and Mr. Quinn, our principal, are the directors of the student body within our school. We are proud of them and are grateful to them for the guiding hand they have extended to us in helping to solve our many difficulties throughout our school years. The Board of Education, consisting of five men, represents the people in our school district. Each year one member is elected to serve without salary for five years. This group consists of Thomas Somers, presiding as president, Amos LaBarge as clerk and James Creighton, Arthur Cronin and Edmond Harvey who constitute the remainder of the board. We wish to express our thanks and appreciation to these men who have upheld the tremendous responsibility in managing our schools. 4

For of what avail are our books, our paintings, our music, if no hand turns the pages no eyes views the canvasses, no voice sings the melodies you have set down? How mem, less our wisdom, how futile our culture, if it does not serve as a stepp g stone to a civr r zation yet undreamed, a pathwa to a golden era of achievement whose splendor Ollr go minds can scarcely grasp!
