C O McKEE PRINCIPAL OFFICE HELPERS Principal C. O. McKee, now serving his third year in Tupelo High School, hails from Kenton,Tennessee, where he received his early education. After graduation from high school, Mr. McKee studied for his B. A. degree at the University of Tennessee where he was a member of Kappa Alpha social fraternity. He acquired his M. A. and M. Ed. degrees at George Peabody College. There he was initiated into the highest na- tional educational fraternity, Phi Delta Kappa. Before he came to Tupelo in 1941 as junior High School Principal, Mr. McKee taught at Gadsden, Tennessee, Blytheville, Arkansas, and Galatin, Tennessee. june, 1942, found him entering the U. S. Army. After finishing basic training, he became an instructor in a technician's school in E1 Paso, Texas. In 1945 he returned to Tupelo to serve again in his former capacity for a year before his appointment as high school principal. Mr. McKee is at present a member of the Kiwanis Club, the Church of Christ, the Mississippi Educational Association, the National Educational Association, and the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
