SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY Time: Few years from present Occasion: Reunion of class of '49 Place: Any place where class reunions are held. Here we are, back with all the old gang, of the class of '49. Let's look around and try to see just what has taken place in ten years. Wait a minute before we start-Young fellow, what are you doing here? Aren't you kind of young for an occasion like this? Oh, you're here with your mother and daddy. That couldn't be Gene Still and Bennett, Could it? Now to look around-Who in the world is that good-looking creature? Of course, Patsy Powers Model Johnson and there's the famous chemist Ann Powell. Her career got its beginning back in those memorable chemistry classes. To our right you see several couples looking pleasantly married and happy. None other than Halovee and Bobby Parker, Betty jean and Eddie Cayson, and Sara and Bobby Whitten, and just look at Shelia in that gingham dress fMac must have just ordered it from Sears for herj and Charles Berry in his overalls, from Reubel's, of course. That's what farm life will do for you! Well, we're awfully glad Flawe Langston made it. She's pretty busy at the Stork Club in New York. Speaking of the entertainment world, Kay Clayton, Jeanine Edwards, jean Witcher, and Betty Jo Ballard are still on Broadway doing that same spectacular ballet they did in the Senior play. Why hello Coach Phillips QGary's basketball team is winning renown over the nationj. Mary Ann Roper's team is doing O. K. too. Smile please! There's Lambert and Clayton, famous photographers taking pictures of this outstanding group. Did you know there are some famous writers here, too. Mary Armstrong, poet, Milford Kelly and Gene Cryder, co-authors of that book One Thousand Complicated Lessons on Texas Schottis- che and Nancy Bruton, author of that talked about novel, How to Love with Your Glasses On. fThere's a rumor that this book is dedicated to Miss Mary Eleanor Long.j ,Everybody stand! There's Governor Posey with all his pretty secretaries, Pearl Markham, jessie Lee jackson, and Margaret Carruth. Of course his right hand man, Gene Callo- way-is sitting-why, at his right fof course!j Sitting directly across from the governor is Sluggo, owner of Finley's pool hall, and all his rack boys, Bobby jo Cook, Mac Thomas, Charles Kellett and Charles McBride.
