TumwaTer's varsiTy volleyball won The 4986 Black Hills League cham- pionship wiTh a nine win and zero loss record. In posT season play, The T-Birds placed Third in The DisTricT Four TournamenT and eighTh in The STaTe AA Volleyball Championships which were held aT The Thunder- bird Pavilion. The T-Bird spikers were led by five seniors, co-capTains PaTTi Haines and Lisa Liukko, and AnneTTe Rancour, Janell RoberTson ancl STacey WeighT. Their experience and Team leadership helped The T-Birds win CenTralia's CenTerville TournamenT where PaTTi Haines and Siacey WeighT received All TournamenT Team recogniTion. AT Olympia's CapiTol CiTy TournamenT, TumwaTer Took second place and PaTTi Haines was again named To The All TournamenT Team . To highlighT an already succesful season, Lisa Liukko and AnneTTe Rancour were named To The All Black Hills League firsT Team, Liukko as an ouiside hiTTer and Rancour as a middle hiTTerfblocker.
