The boys' tennis team displayed a lot of potential during the 1986 season. Led by Eric Rebitzer, their top singles player, the T-Birds played challenging matches throughout their season. Senior players Steve Harrow, Ian Hundtofte and Dan Chown together with a talented group of juniors and sophomores served and volleyed their way to success in many matches. The T-Bird netters, under the guidance of coach Lionel Barona, presented tough competition to all their BHL opponents. One of the highlights ofthe season was the trip the team took during spring break to Vic Braden's Tennis Academy in California, where the team received advanced coaching in strategies and on their strokes.
