These clubs learned the aspects of business and how to make money. They had several moneyraisers. Their most profitable being the gift wrapping booth during Christmas at the Capital Mall. They also sold Halloween bags, Christmas carnations, and candy. The second year officers were: Carrie Minoggie. President, Tami Townsend, Vice- president, Tina Tobeck, Secretary, Paul Beattie, Treasurer. 145

, if ysF'i.l2: swam , mu. w FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America, This year our club had I2 members. We were involved in many activities including several conferences and fundraisers. Our fundraisers included selling M 5 Ms and candy canes. We also earned money by doing inventory for Pa y-N-Pak. Our first conference was held during the early fall in Chehalis. We attended leadership and public speaking workshops. We attended the Western Regional Leadership Conference in Portland, Oregon in November. The emphasis of the conference was on leadership abilities and individual goal setting. The State Conference was held in Pasco in April. Competitions, including typing, shorthand, accounting, different types of speaking. etc. . ., were held among all of the FBLA members of the state. Officers: Sheila Swanson. Vice-presidentf Debby Hughes, Presidents Dianne Stolz, Secretary, Kathy Shave, Treasurer: Chris Avila, Historian Reporter, Cindy Vogel, Parlimentarian.
