Hoefer, sang with the All- Counly Chorus. ln addition to the Annual Spring Music Concert, the group hopes to repeat their three-school concert tour which proved suc- cessful and to participate in local commencement exercises. Briggs The forty-five members of the Band a peared in several school pro- grams, in the Memorial Day Parade, andmplayed at the prize speaking contest. Richard Hoefer, Richard Green, Irene Briggs and Janet Usher represented TCS in the All-State Sectionals at Newark, N. Y. These people and Marilyn Brown gained membership in the All-County Band by auditions. Solo and ensemble work has been stressed this year with the younger members of the organization, such as the Flute Trio, Brass Sextet and the Clarinet Quartet. This activity is an outgrowth of an original composition unit based on individual research. Delores Devine andllalph Carlton won first prizes, with Betty Aungier and Richard Green receiving the second awxrds. Professor I-lawer W. Scott and Mr. Seymour Payet of Cortland State Teachers' College 'udged the contest. Mrs. Austin, Mr. Pearse and Mr. Ferguson coached tile contestants.
