This year's Student Council ol' 29 members was very active, meeting on a weekly basis throughout the tw'o terms. Headed by I2 standing committees, many valuable lunctions were carried on by this group. Prominent aznong the Council activities were: financial support lor most ol the activity clubs: organization of the Marshal system and lor the hrst lime a Student Court plan to handle violators of the Student Code: sponsorship ol' school projects. such as the Vienna Children's Crusade, Community Chest, Red Cross, and annual Class Day prcgrznnsg providing chaperone and usher service lor athletic events, and selec- tion ol' outstanding students during the year lor special awards. Because of the large enrollment this year we were divided into three staffs, each headed by an assistant editor. Each person who earned 30 points by the end of the year for his work on the High Times, received a pin. During the year, meetings have been held at which time the new members studied makeup and stage terhnique. They have assisted throughout the year with the Christmas program and other grade and community entertainments. From the proceeds ol' previous plays, the elub purchased a new backdrop. Our old scenery also has a new look as some senior elass members ol' Tuleendra painted it in their spare time. Nlany ol' our members were in two Senior plays Pardon My .Xnc'estors and The lns and Outs which were presented to the student body in two assembly programs, and also belore the l'. T. .-X. members. The spring found the club busily concentrating on the production of the three act romedy. When l Was Green, by Guernsey I,ePelley. lt was held on May l9 and 20 and proved to be a huge suceess. The lormal initiation will be held in -Tune, lollowed by a picnic. Twenty six
