Some must win and others lose as Melvin Beasley, Michael Shelton, Larry Douglas, and Bob Doan vie for roles in the play, thespians present Lights dim, curtains part, hush descends upon the audience, and the 1959 Thespian production of The Sword and the Scroll begins. In authentic dress and staging, fifteen Thespians re-enact the Christian's struggle against harsh Roman leaders.
