These Oriental ladies served at the JUNIOR - SENIOR BANQUET. In an Oriental garden with paper lanterns, sampans, chopsticks, and costumed boys and girls as servers, the Seniors enjoyed one of the most beautiful and delicious banquets ever given in T. H. S. This last banquet, given by the Senior mothers, is one always to be remembered by the Seniors of '52. The SENIOR BANQUET theme was Dutch and the beautiful decorations complete with big windmill and table decora tions of tulips, wooden shoes and Dutch figures only made the delicious food better. After an entertaining pro- gram by Mrs. Henderson, the mothers and the Vandergriffs, movies of the Senior trip were shown.______________________ Cheer up my brothers You're in the sunshine, SENIOR TRIP Come on in; the water’s fine Mr. Pannell and the boys Sungrins? Mrs. Pannell, school secretary, has added responsibilities in the summer--checking out equip- ment, carrying on correspondence, and in general keeping things run- ning smoothly. On the file in the corner are the trophies, plaques, and certificate which the band won in its spring ac- tivities in Altus and Canyon. The new junior high building is rapidly progressing. A very attractive addition to the campus, this building will help the crowded conditions al- ready found in the modern school sys- tem. As the school prepares for the opening of classes in September, we see that, vacation or not, school is a year-round activity. Here is Mr. Jones who makes summer the most colorful and beautiful season at school. The well-kept lawns and beautiful flowers as well as the refinish- ing of furniture, floors, and school rooms are due to the hard work of Mr Jones. Summer classes in history, typing, and homemaking were held here. Algene O’Daniel, summer homemaking instruc- tor, is conducting a class in textile painting. As an answer to crowded schedules and needed courses, summer classes are growing.
