,466 ' ' 09 1746 If one could stand on the edge of a star and look down through thousands of years it would be apparent that all that has happened on earth was directly dependent on everything else. The labors of man to him alone may seem over- whelming, but when assisted by others his burden is not nearly so great. We, the graduates of 1946, and the graduates to come, must work together harmoniously and uphold the motto FOR EACH AND ALL . As a result, our school will bear the fruits of success. We must sow the idea that what is done for one is done for all, and we must discard the weeds of prejudice. Are we not all subject to the same diseases and cured by the same means? Were not these cures discovered by men of all races and creeds, for the benefit of the entire civilization? The Tuley Civic Association, our athletic teams, and our social center were all founded on organization and teamwork. The sincere cooperation that prevails is due simply to the voluntary joining together of students in mutually helpful efforts. Therefore, we must yield ourselves to the perfect whole, for nothing is fair or good alone. We leave now to enter a world that has seen iniustice, cruelty, and op- pression. From these, our school days, we must harvest the benefits of unity and sportsmanship which we will carry with us wherever we go. To you, the students and faculty of Tuley High School and TO EACH AND ALL, we dedicate this Log of 1946. Shirley Sims

WWZA' TO THE GRADUATES: Congratulations and best wishes to the Graduates of 19461 I congratulate you on four years of outstanding accomplishment, on the excellent use you have made of the opportunities offered to you, on the courage and determination with which you have met your responsibilities and achieved your goals. Today, as you stand at the commencement of a new chapter in your career, I extend to each of you my very best wishes for continued success and happiness. You have developed the abilities, the virtues, and the qualities which make for success. You have shown yourselves to be industrious, loyal and public-spirited. I am confident you are prepared to meet the responsibilities and opportunities ahead and to achieve the new objectives you have set for yourselves. As you say goodbye to your classmates and teachers and set out on your new course, I hope you are carrying with you many happy recollections of your days at the Tuley High School - pleasant memories of good times with your friends in the various school organizations, the games, the assemblies, the lunch hour dances, the Prom. Since you are the first class to have the privilege of graduating under conditions of peace, I hope you are also carrying with you the firm determina- tion to be Worthy of your great American heritage and to serve your nation in the critical postwar years as loyal and responsible citizens.
