As we come upon this scene we hear some cool cat making his spill. Four-score and like 'Y jags ago, a new group emerged from the halls of ol' T. H. S. This crazy group pinned themselves the swingin' hapsters of 1960. As we sit here meditating over a cup of expresso, we see Raymond Chavez, Gloria Castillo, and Nellie Luevano entering the place discussing Dave Brubeck Jr. 's latest jazz recording. Following them we see Eddie Little and Pinky Smith talking to LaVon Stewart, President of the hipsters' council. Playing a thirty year game of chess we see Dennis McDonald being beaten by Lester Harguess. Beatin' out the crazy sounds we hear Rosie Gallegos, Corina Lopez, and Beatrice Carrillo otherwise known as the Bongo Trio. Digging this crazy group the mostg Jimmy McNatt, Dwayne Bookout, and Maurice Hobson almost flip their expresso cups. In a dark corner we can see Joe Allen, beatest ofthe beat, being pinned by a group of crazy chicks, On the other side of the room Marjo- rie Goforth sits in shocked silence as Crayton Weisler makes a spiel on advanced Psychology. Digging a bunch of modern cut murals on the walls are Henry Doramc, Emilio Randall, and Lorenzo Davalos. They really dig Mona Lisa by that famous artist, Romelo qLeonardol Provcncio. Inky Skaggs is holding a lecture on Zen Buddism. His intent students are Ernie Reynolds, Pat Busby, Buddy Mitchell, and Lafayette Brooks. Dancing on the table tops are Larry Lanipert and Evelyn Nowell, Pat Prell and her escort, and Cloma Tucker and a crazy scooter jockey. From a far off pad we can hear Richard Sandoval and Billy lrvine knocking off the crazy sounds of the opera Aida on Bass horns. Being inspired by this jazz is the great modern writer, Gene Spangler, author of Poetry for Beat School Teachers. Practicing their yogi lessons very faithfully are Kay Campbell and Rufina Guerra under the instruction of Sandy Robinson and Gary Daves. Putting together a crazy hi-fi, stero outfit we see Joe Dominguez, Ramon Duran, and Alex Iaramillo. We hear that Kenneth Nowell and Beverly Clark have gotten hitched up and are making a gig in some other town. Discussing the coming end of the world Qwhich has been coming for a hundred yearsj we can hear Raymond Torres, Larry Salcido, and Roy Delgado. We have been clued in that Rosemary Breuninger and Barbara Marr now hold the titles of being the fastest women drivers in the world. We also have had it pegged straight that Linda Harden has finally learned how to play a walking base. Now that they have the hi-fi together Isodore Mendez, Joe Mike Saenz, and Mike Fairbanks bring over a stack of beat blues records by their favorite singing stars, Sandy Steward, and Minerva Treas. Seeing who can drink the most expresso, Viola Sartin is one cuD ahead of Beatrice Gonzales and Cecilia Rayos. We hear that Charles Holder is honorary Fire Chief of all express pads in the area. Beverly Eldridge is real gone. We must announce that Tony Cordova, Leo Nunez, Raymond Saenz, Anita Domin- guez, Richard Saenz, Anita Montoya and Adeline Saenz are all attending a beat college on the west coast. Well, here we must end this wild gig. The cops are raiding the place. 1u ' MQQLY .ff of 12' A C ecmzx RMAQ5, Svomoi YA PX?-Y PM PH Fx XIX-DEL RPN BEN? We had some outstanding Freshman boys and will expect great things of them this coming year. Steve Prinz and Francis Smith were chosen honorable mention All-Staters. Ed- ward Little and Bill Gililland consistantly turned in good games. Even though the Wildcats lost most of their games this year they gained a lot of valuable experience by competition with many teams out of their own district. One of the teams we lost to was Carrizozo who was the runner-up in State Finals for the class C championship. They had seven boys who made first string All,-State. Another team we played was T or C who was undefeated all season and will be in our conference next year. The last time we played them, we lost with a 40-ll score which improved tremendously in later games. When we played against Ruidoso it was for a loss of 7-6. The Wildcats were the first to seore and led the Warriors until the last three minutes of the game, when we lost to them on an intercepted pass. Three teams we lost to were Cobre, Western, and Lordsbnrg. Clobre and Western are both class A schools with a lot of weight to their advantage. We played a very Q good game against Lordsbttrg but were defeated with a score of lil-6. In the first half, the Wildcats gave them some real trouble holding the score at 7-Li, Another team we played against and beat was Santa Rosa who tied for first place in their district. The Wildcats are looking forward to next season when they will have eight fclllrll' ing regulars. With a little more experience and a lot more desire, the Wildcats will be up and at them again. The Wildcats had a lot of players who lettered this season. Seniors are Edward Little, Leo Nunez, Gene Spangler, Francis Smith, Richard Sandoval, Roy Delgado, Charles Holder and Mike Fairbanks. Lettermen returning next year will be Peter Kazhe, Larry Bishop, Manuel Dominguez, Andrew Little, Steven Prinz, Bruce Parker, Louis Bigmouth, David King, Alfred Montoya, Ansel Austin, Ralph Perales, and Bill Dick Gililland. 11V Sfvvflwll Homecoming - 1959 2-f ,hgaw af 31 -4.5 If on Stcw41rLlCrow11cd:1s Ilmum-ulxmixw IIHI een by co-cnplglin I'vl'LlllK'iS Su ' X. ,, xx ,5. 1...
