A party was given in honor of the freshmen girls at the heginning of the year in order to get them ac- quainted. The li. S. li. did a great deal of welfare work, especially during Christmas time. Christmas harrels were placed outside the offices and the classes competed for honors of having the largest donations. Many articles of clothing and non-perishable food were gathered in this way for distribution. Other do- nations were made hy different groups in the school. The organization held its annual haekwarcl dance in the spring which proved to be one of the most suc- cessful dances given during the year. These are only a few of the activities of the G. S. L.
