In TU- LARE'S case, everything, from ice cream to radio parts. Trying to keep this lady satisfied was the never-ending job of the Supply De- partment. The men of Supply had to cater to TULARE's every need and ours too. They had to predict what we were going to require well in advance so that when we were out to sea and could not go around the corner to the store, we didn't have to do without. A brief list of Supply Department functions in- clude: stocking, cooking, feeding, cleaning, catering, hair cutting, washing, tailoring, buying, sell- ing and, need we add, paying us.
