On the morning of August 29, 1954, eight scared Freshmen climbed the steps of
Tulare High. They were: Dorothy Otto, John Roos, Marsha Foglesong, Bernard Blume,

of our Freshman year were the Sweetheart's Ball and the Junior-Senior Prom. Our year
ended with a picnic at Cottonwood Lake.
The entire class returned for the Sophomore year. The same girls participated
in Girls' Phys. Ed. Karen Kloss was the Princess candidate. Dorothy Otto was elected

went to Ruskin Park for our school picnic.

took part in band and declam. John and Karen were chosen to represent our school at
Boys' and Girls' State. The Junior Play, "Passing Fancy", was a huge success. The
Juniors worked hard in preparing a nice banquet for the Seniors. Our banquet theme was
"Fantasia". Our Jtmior year came to a close with the picnic in the schoolhouse.
