JAPAN WN N 5 f QQ -15 Q, Q15 f 2 , 5 IQ Q 5 f -2 QWQQL 0' Z 3? l L I f , Nbqfp . . . became an overseas home to us and as the weeks passed, the forts of Yokosuka Harbor began to seem as familiar as Point Loma Light. Tokyo, Yokohama, Kamakura, Shimoda, Sasebo, Nagasaki, Kobe, Kyoto, Osaka, Shimonoseki Straits and the Inland Sea took on life and color for us. Many a man will long remem- ber the gaudy lights of Yokosuka, the smell of SUKI- YAKI and TEMPURA simmering in a pan, the wail of a I apanese phonograph record f She ain't got no yo-yo! l, the misspelled English signs, like GET HOT BASS HERE, and cabaret come-ons like WARM BEER, BAD FOOD AND UGLY GIRLS!
