The Tulane Student Council is composed of the presidents of the various colleges of the Univer- sity and has general supervision over all student activities. The Council Is assisted by the Grad- uate Manager of Student Activities, a position now held by Kendall - . Cram, B.A., M.A. Members of the 1940-41 Student Council are: Conrad Meyer, III, President, Arts and Sciences; W. Samuel Williams, Vice-President, Medicine; Joseph W. McCarron, Jr., Secretary, Engineer- ing; Graham Charles Bonnell, Commerce; Carl Dailey, Law; and Kate h odge, Newcomb. It is the duty of the Graduate Manager to supervise and keep an accurate record of re- ceipts and disbursements of each organization benefiting from the student fund, to act in an advisory capacity to all student activities, and to act as the agent of the Council in all matters. At the beginning of the school year, the stu- dent activities moved into offices in the new Student Center. The erection of the Student Center building has fulfilled a long-felt need in student life at Tulane.
