FOOTBALL 1958-1959 KENNETH MITCHELL TERRY RAMSEY BILLY REYNOLDS CHARLEY RICHARDS DARRELL SMITH Center Guard Back End Guard EDWIN SMITH REX SMITH ROBERT STRONG RAY TEA KELL CHUCK YOUNG End Back End Guard Center 9511 if FOOT BA LL 1958 - 1959 Our three coaches, Mr. Hart, Mr. Wise, and Mr. Litchfield, did an excellent job of coaching this year. The boys fought hard but despite their strenuous efforts, lost five games out of the nine. However, the schedule was harder this year than it was last year, as we played against the better teams in the state. We won our first game by beating Clayton 7 to 6. Our next two games were by wider margins, 26 to 13 in the Raton game, and 27 to 15 in the Ft. Sumner game. Then, on again, and off again, the season ended with an excellent game, 33 to 15, when we played Portales. Seniors, playing their last time for Tumcumcari in The Homecoming Game with Portales, were: Norbert Aragon, Lon Cottingham, Sammy Kent, Roy Kleindolph, Jerry Lobb, Jimmy Lucero, Jimmy Lumpee, Kenneth Mitchell, Charles Richards, Rex Smith, and Ray Teakell, a junior, who will not be eligible next year.
