Trends Games influenced the way students spent their leisure time. Racquetball was the new sports craze. T.H.S. students could usually be found playing ping-pong at the UA Student Union. Many played backgammon during and after school. Both men and women wore T-shirts emblazed with phrases and logos. Boots and cowboy hats helped sport the western look this year. For women the Annie Hall look was in with loosely fitted blouses and skirts. Moviegoers were attracted to cult movies this year with Animal House and the Rocky Horror Picture Show leading the way. Spirit Attempting to boost morale, the student council promoted several assemblies. Terpsi performed during the Homecoming festivities. Red and white badges were worn by many on Fridays before football games. The spirit raising slogans aided members of the faculty as well as students in displaying their enthusiasm. Students were able to exchange spirit by giving corsages, boutonnieres and Santa-Grams to each other.
