Looking over the plans for the new Cholla High, Mr. Hunt and his receptionist, Mrs. Redding, compared the new school's facilities to Tucson High's. ters to figure class standings and employed student help to relieve the huge amount of paper work the office entailed throughout the school year. Hunt Stepped in s New Leader Of Tucson High Changes in the administration marked a new era for Tucson High. George Hunt, for- merly Assistant Principal of Student Affairs, replaced Andy Tolson as head of the school. Mr. Hunt established a faculty council as one of his first acts as Principal. The coun- cil worked toward better communication be- tween the administration and faculty. Also new to his position, but not to Tuc- son High was John Mallamo. Mr. Mallamo, previously head football coach, took charge of Student Affairs. Mr. Hendrickson, Assis- tant Principal of Student Personnel, instituted zero hour classes for seniors to prevent a pos- sibility of split sessions for Tucson High. Zero hour students met from 7:20 to 8:15. Mr. Mallamo listened to requests of the English Department, making lists of equipment the teachers needed. :rsync-sa..-gpm ' uw. A., ,M 15
