J i EDDIE BROWN Student Body President oueming mglfuafenlfrf With a resolution to make 1950 an all- time year for Tucson High, the school's gov- erning bodies got under way by scheduling rallies and pep assemblies and supervising the sophomore elections. Spearheaded by President Ed Brovvn, the Council passed measures concerning a student employment service which was set up in the fall and served as a medium through which students gained part-time employment. To high-light a productive and active year Tucson High sent its outstanding representatives to the student government convention at Yuma. -4. Spurred by class presi- dent, Fred McWenie, the seniors devoted all their spare hours to making elaborate green decorations and painting colorful murals de- picting typical scenes in the renowned New York park. 0 . PRED MCWEN IE President Sparked by class advisor Danny Romero, the senior council and cabinet planned a Wonderful ditch day and organized all class activities. Class pins, T pins, and lost and found articles were taken care of by the senior office committee who ably carried on office business during school hours. Climaxing an outstanding year the coun- cil, together With Danny Romero, planned the beautiful graduation exercises which will re- main in senior memories for years to come.
