We are suddenly in Atlanta, Georgia. Walking down Peachtree, we glance up to see that Bobby Furlong's Orchestra is currently appearing in the Paradise Room. Tickling the ivory's is the popular pianist Reid Hopkins, Gayle Former is featured as soloist. We are stopped by the large crowd that lines the sidewalk as a parade passes. A man is waving from the back seat of a black limousine. Ile must be someone of vast importance. At last he is turning around so that I can see his face, lfdwin lieclf by hard work and honesty has become Mayor. Now I am swiftly carried back to Tucker, Georgia. I see a pretty white cottage with hedges running around the cottage, and children running around the hedges. Phyllis Kennedy and Larry Potts finally married and settled down here. As I walk down Main Street in Tucker, I see a large sign that says, Alice's Beauty Salon. .llice lfolader has finally become a hair stylist, and opened her own shop. Coming out of the post office is xlnn lledloclf. She tells me that she is an English teacher at the high school, and that Lanette Broolrs is Food Iidi- tor for the Ladies Home Journal. As I continue my journey down the street, I meet Representative lfverette Bailey. Ile tells me that he intends to run for Lieutenant Governor in the coming Primary. Peggy lllieeler, Pat Russell, and Peggy .llcljee have formed a trio, and are appearing daily on Tucker's new radio station. .llarina Lovern has opened a new bakery and seems to be doing very well. Now I see a large sign that says Royce's Grill. I decide to investigate further and find that Royce llardernan is the owner. The head waitress is none other than Donna ll eaver. There's folznny Pickens and .llclfurdy llillirzms who have become great lawyers, and are expecting to wed two members of the Tucker social set next month. And whom do you think owns the city's only florist, Dianne llcllonald. There's Carry lloon, the town sheik. llc has toured the world from coast to coast, but still re mains an old bachelor. Now we do feel like Seniors. ll e played our first football game with Norcross - and lost. Happy Birthday, Gloria Edwards. .lo Helen Britt just became the first Senior of our year to become engaged. Proof that Tucker Tigers are tough - we beat Morgan County on Friday 13th. 13-12. Barbara Cain is no longer sweet sixteen. Congratulations! Lock your doors! The Seniors are selling magazines. Fall romance...Phy!lis and Larry are going steady. Kid Day . The children ate lunch at Tucker Lake. ne Bar your windows! We're selling Christmas Cards. Ge Happy Birthday for Brenda Chestnut and .Io Ann Knight. lvle elected Senior Superlatives...and got out of class for two periods to do it. Linda Melton had a surprise party for her birthday. Happy Birthday, Donna Weaver! Homecoming - we won the ballgame 41-0. .lo Nan was Homecoming Queen, Gayle was runner-up, and the Senior float won first place. This is Alice's birthday. The thermometer goes below zero, snow falls, and school is out!!! The girls' basketball team lost the first game of the tournament. Our boys' team also looses its first tournament game.
