DEBATE ON AMERICAN HOSTAGE SITUATION IN IRAN BECOMES A CLASSROOM HIGHLIGHT Due to the intensity of feelings expressed by Ameri- cans through the media concerning the 50 hostages remaining in Iran, Mrs. Bragg’s second period English class donned personalities of dignitaries who are re- presenting Iran and the United States in this world- wide issue of political blackmail. Participants became so involved in the activity that discussion and ex- change of ideas continued throughout 8 class periods. Voices were often filled with provoked emotion and some students like Mark Martin even sported cos- tumes. 79
