Belles from Natchez To The Highest Bidder Massa from Manassas Friday, May Sth, the junior class of Truro Community School and their sponsors, Mrs. Ruth Iverson and Mr. Earl Scherf, entertained the seniors and high school faculty mem- bers at a banquet and prom in the school gymnasium. The theme of the Old South was carried out with a Southern garden, a porch of a Southern Plantation mansion, and even Negroes' quarters. The banquet was prepared by the mothers of the junior class members. Members of the sophomore class, Sherry Stevens, Bonnie Smith, Linda Bulkeley, Elizabeth Phillips, Sandra Schamerhorn, DeVon Woods, Larry Whit- latch, Gary Phillips, jerry Clarke, and Gerald Goering, dressed as Negro servants, served the meal. Mr. Reed jordan, Superintendent, spoke of Changing With The Times. Musical numbers included a vocal solo by Juanita McVey, accompanied by Jeffrey Pattersong a vocal quartet composed of johnna Free- berg, Loretta Maki, Linda Porter, and DeVona Stevens, accompanied by Mrs. Nelle Wittmerg and a selection by Judith Clarke, Jean Smith, Virginia Lehmer, and janet Vasey, with Janet playing a guitar accompaniment.
