Senior Class History On September 17, 1947, twenty-three small boys and girls started on their way in the world of learning at Truro Consolidated School. Miss Gertrude Johnson Know Mrs. Dale Lyttonj was our teacher. Members of our present class who started together were: Bill Burns, Jim Bush, Rex Evison, Dennis Hiatt, Sharon Mease, Jim Minnick, Dixie Nicholson, Clair Smith, and Dixie Brant, who joined us during that year. ln First Grade, our group was divided. Mrs. Lucille Weeks and Donola Motsinger Know Mrs. Orville Leggettj were our teachers. Jean Petersen joined us, and Denny Hiatt took a leave of absence. Our Second Grade teacher was Mrs. Weeks, and David Cooper cast his lot with us that year. Miss Delores Haltom Know Mrs. Otis Robyi was our Third Grade teacher, and for some reason Denny Hiatt returned. In Fourth Grade our group was again divided, this time between Miss Haltom and Miss Betty Cumings Know Mrs. Bill Greeni. Miss Cumings had us all to her- self in both Fifth and Sixth Grades. Betty Jean Critz became a member of our select little group during the Fifth Grade, and Dick Black joined us in Sixth Grade. Our Seventh Grade teacher was Mrs. Mary Kirby. Mr. Wayne Breeding took us in hand in the Eighth Grade, and new members that year were Verna Chiles and Carter Thacker. There must be something about us. Everyone of our teachers except Mrs. Weeks is still nearby. ln the fall of 1956, we entered high school. Della Stover, Donna Lockart, and Ronnie Sinn joined our ranks. Bill Patton and Cathy Wright became members of our class during our junior year. In high school we have studied under the direction of Supt. Reed Jordan, Coach Chuck Thomas, Mrs. Mae Baker, Mrs. Beulah Wilson, Mr. Robert Myrtue, Mr. Wayne Breeding, Mr. John Shoemaker, Mr. Sherrill Milnes, Mrs. Carol Hunt, Mr. Francis Schuelka, Mrs. Jauhita Myrtue, Mrs. Dorothy Jordan, Mr. Earl Scherf, Mr. William Miller, Mr. Kenneth Johnson, and Mr. Glen Haupt. Over the years many students have come and gone. Our former classmates included Donnie Banker, Carolyn Bush, Judy Dodd, Glenda Douthit, Nancy Hixon, Carolyn Huston, Joyce Lattimer, Sue Nicoson, Richard Stewart, Ed Swan, George Tracy, Jerry Hackett, Joyce Glazebrook, Myrtie Church, Charles Heinen, Sarah Veatch, Mary Ann Church, John Marks, Penny Hartman, Anna Marie Groves, Wayne White, Glen Kramme, John Kramme, John Fulkerson, Jerry Halterman, Shelby Charter, Betty Coglizer, Phil Smith, Allen Vannoy, Billy Huffman, Mary Jane Cox, Rita Branscomb, Linda Spencer, Dwight Cleland, Carmaleen Butler, and Carletta Sparks. During these thirteen years of schooling, we have collected many l .Ex xl memories. After our graduation, we shall E7 ' ' up go out as young adults to take our places ZX - vu in the world.
