Parade Begins Greek Week First place honors at the 1972 Spring Greek Week sing went to Tau Kappa Epsilon and Sigma Sigma Sigma. The TKE's sang The Rambling Song and the Tri Sigmas sang “I’d like to Build a Home of Love . An all-Greek parade through cam- pus preceded the sing which was held in Stokes stadium. The crowning of the Greek royalty took place following the parade. Greek Queen of 1971 Sharon Orf and Greek Week chairman Paul Lesser crowned Ted Freel and Jill Riney. '72 royalty. Sunday. Greek Olympics were held at Stokes stadium. Contests in- cluded campus town races, egg throws, pennies-in-flour. co-ed gunny sack races, co-ed 440 relays, and a car stuff. Following the Olympics, an all- Greek picnic was held at 1000 Hills state park. 25

Greeks Select Ted Freel, Jill Riney For Royalty Representatives from Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority and Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity were selected Greek King and Queen in Spring, 1972. Jill Riney, a special education major from Jefferson City, was also a K’dette, TKE Lil Sis, and a member of SNEC and the Student Union Board. She was voted queen by fratornity members. Inter-fraternity Council Vice-president Ted Freel was Greek Week King. An economics major from Carlyle, Iowa, Freel was a Psychology Club and Intramural Council member and Student Senate Vice-president. 2G
