Verily the shadow of Joseph Baldwin envelops the students and all their activities -- academic and social -- at KSTC. An institution is the lengthened shadow of one man, and our Alma Mater is the shadow of that man who envisioned a future in which the great destiny of our nation would demand teachers of a high quality. With the words Thorough scholastic training lies at the foundation of a teacher's education he set Kirksville State Teachers College on a near-century of noteworthy service in providing such educators. - ' Each student who pauses to glance at the lone figure in the heart of our campus may well be awed at the countless lives influenced by those teachers who have come to learn at this college and have become dedicated in his tradition. - This year has recorded dynamic growth and achievement in the Baldwinian tradition. Baldwin Hall, the most imposing structure on campus, is the hub of many school activities. A new student soon becomes acquainted with Baldwin Hall on registration day as he fights his way through the mass- es of other bewildered beginners. After registration, Baldwin Hall settles into a normal routine of English, business, art, and music classes. Students rush to and from classes while sounds of music echo through the halls. Weekly assem- blies and entertaining Lyceum programs also bring Teachers College students, faculty, and personnel to Baldwin Hall.
