State Commissioner of Education The term regent has many meanings. To Mr. Webster, the definition is “a member of a board appointed to govern a university or other institution, usually educational ’ This definition fits the basic governing body of the Northeast Missouri State Teachers College, THE BOARD OF REGENTS. The Board is composed of seven members, who, although they follow different professions, have one common interest—the growth and devel¬ opment of The Teachers College. So ef¬ ficient is the execution of the plans and business transactions of the College that very little recognition is given where much is due. Mr. Hubert Wheeler, by virtue of his office, is an ex-officio member. Members of the Board of Regents are: P. M. Marr, Milan, president; J Andy Zenge, Jr., Canton, vice-president; Edward E.
