Libraries and Museums The Pickier Memorial Library, named for a former faculty member. has over 125,'000 books, including public documents, pamphlets, bound periodicals, and bound news- papers. The library also houses several special collections, including the Glenn Frank Memorial Library, the Laughlin contribution of research, a Missouriana collection, collec- tors of children's literature, ami the John R. Kirk Library. The iolettc Museum is housed in the basement of the John R. Kirk Memorial. It houses a collection of antiques and souvenirs, such as a suit of medieval armor, guns, a loom, and farm machinery used in early American times. Admissions Office Tin: Admissions Office, under the super- vision of Charles Klam, Director of Admis- sions, was created to assist prospective stu- dents before they arrive on the campus to enroll in the college. Both hv mail and personal contacts, ques- tions about many subjects are answered through this office.
