The library also houses several special collections, including the Glenn I' rank Memorial Library, the Laughlin conirihulion of research, a Missouriana collection, collections of children s literature, and the John R. kirk Library. The iolette Museum is housed in the basement of the John R. kirk Memorial. 11 houses a collection of antiques and souvenirs, such as a suit of medieval armor, guns, a loom, and farm machinery used in early meri- can times.
