ized that the highest spiritual and humanitarian qualities may well be found in intimate and inseparable association with a successful pursuit of such fol- lowings. The recipients of this award were selected by a committee consisting of one administrator, three faculty members appoint ed by the President of Troy State University, and two stu dent members selected by the Student Government Associ- ation Senate. Eddie Garner, Rudee Krita- kara, and President Ralph Ad- ams received this high honor for the academic year 1981 82. They were honored during the 1982 Honors Day Program and during a luncheon held that day in the Board Room. Making the Most of our corner of the world This was Troy State Universi- ty ' s first year to grant the Al- geron Sydney Sullivan Award. It was awarded to one man and one woman of the graduating class and to one non-student. The criteria suggested by the Algeron Sydney Sullivan Foun- dation states that the award is to be given only in recognition of fine spiritual qualities, practi- cally applied to daily living, as distinct from high scholarship, athletic achievement, success in business, professional ability, political leadership, or more worldly prominence in any call- ing.
