Dr. Frank Ross Stewart became President of Troy State College on July 1, 1961. He received a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State in 1935; B.S. degree in Secondary Education from Alabama Polytechnic Institute in 1937; M.S. in School Adminis- tration from API in 1940; has done further graduate study at Columbia and Peabody; and received an Honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from Auburn Uni- versity, December 18, 1959.
