Co-Editor MARY GROCE Business Manager We the seniors of Carthage-Troy High Scho'ol do dedicate this annual to Mr. Miller in appreciation of seven years of service to the students of Carthage-Troy. Mr. Miller has been with our class ever since the seventh grade and has been a friend of the students as well as a teacher. KOLOSKI Industrial Arts Senior (j ass Dfistorij In September, 1957 fifty-seven Frivolous Freshmen entered the doors of Carthage-Troy High School. For the First few weeks we were a very confused group, and In general a trial to our teachers. But we soon learned the routine and settled down to study. We elected our officers as follows: President - Betty Galbreath, Vice President - Nina Calaway, Secretary - Janet Bean, Treasurer - Vicki Simmons, News Reporter -Beverly Chapman. Much to our sorrow, we lost James Kelley, Ernest Creamer, Ed Pritt, Leatha Bibbee, Phillip Walker, Louise Hunt, Charlotte Crites, and Milton Tabler. Our advisors were Mr. Wolfe and Mrs. Poole. In September, 1958 forty-six students proudly entered the doors of Carthage Troy, taking the title of silly Sophomores. Once again we started our many class duties. Wanting to get in the swing of school, we elected officers as follows: President - Lee Ethridge, Vice President - Roger Stephenson, Secretary - Janet Bean, Treasurer - Larry Deem, News Reporter - Joyce Ritenour. We again lost some of our classmates; Harold Nutter, Don Putman, Roscoe Jackson, Janet Bean, Beverly Chapman, Terry Hayes, Helen Kemper, Don Swiger and Junior Pullins. We also lost Chester Wheaton. To compensate our loss we gained Shirley Dennison from Gassaway, West Virginia and Marilyn Barnes from Barlett and Dave Cogar from Parkersburg. Our advisor was Mr. Miller. In September 1959 thirty-three jolly Juniors entered the halls of Carthage-Troy. On September 9 a class meeting was held and officers for the year were elected. President -Donna Webb, Vice President - Bob Ellis, Secretary - Joyce Ritenour, Historian - Marilyn Barnes - Treasurer - Roger Stephenson - News Reporter - Everett Calaway. During the year we lost Mary McCutchon, Virginia Johnson, Chester Wheaton, Ted McKnight, and Evelyn Doherty. But gained Mary Groce from Indiana, and Stella Nibert from New Mexico and Pat Tanner from Clay, West Virginia. That was a very exciting year for us as we had the prom and our prince and princess were Don Guthrie and Sonja Deem. We were also proud of the fellows who made varsity basketball and helped win the Athens County Tournament. Well here is is September 1960 and thirty seven of the students entered the halls of Carthage Troy for the first time as Sophisticated Seniors and at last we were on top. Our advisor was Mr. Cooley. Our class officers were chosen for the last tinpe. We reelected Donna Webb as our President. Vice President - Roger Stephenson, Treasurer -Everett Calaway, Secretary - Marilyn Barnes, Historian - Myrna Rogers, News Reporter - Larry Deem. We lost Sue Faber, Mary Little, Stella Nibert, Joyce Ritenour, Garner Bond, and Nancy Pullins. We also lost Charles Mayles. Helen Kemper returned from Vincent High School to our fold. After having left our impression on the halls and teachers of C. T. .we are now going to go out and attempt to make a good impression in the years to come.
