Senton, ‘P'loftAecy As head nurse of Bellevue Hospital in New York City, one of my duties is to check on my patients. While on my routine check-up one morning I was pleasantly surprised to see Mary Ford Coen, taking time out from her busy schedule at Coen Ford Stock Broker's Exchange for an appendectomy. While visiting with Mary, we caught up with what our classmates of 1957 were doing. HARRY LADD - a Yale professor, won the Nobel Peace Prize for 1967. CAROLE BOWMAN - now Mrs. Gary Bean, has a happy family of six children, two of which are child movie stars. GARY BEAN - is a five-star general in the U.S. Army. JANET BEYLER - is a Home Economics teacher at Ohio State University. BETTY SLISHER - PATTY SMEEKS - are co-editors and publishers of the fashion magazine Seventeen. CARL ACKLEY - is a famous electrical engineer, holds seven honorary degrees, and won the Pulitzer Prize. HELEN COLE - is the commanding officer of The Women's Air Force. She was formerly the head of Vassar. MARGARET McPHERSON - is a dietitian in charge of special diets at Camden-Clark Hospital in Parkersburg, West Virginia. JAMES RUSSELL - KENNY WINES - are jet pilots in the Air Force. BETTY MURREY - won the Academy Award as Best Actress of 1967. PHILIP ROGERS - is a movie producer for MGM. GARY RITENOUR - is conducting trips to the moon. He is a former Army sergeant. PEARL SAMS - is a sensation as a country music singer. She writes her own songs, too. DON HAWK - is an Air Force instructor, and is in charge of teaching jet aeronautics. JANET HECK - is married to a Navy Admiral and is living in France where he is stationed . BETTY McCUTCHEON - in private life, Mrs. Cecil Strout, is fast making headlines as a Metropolitan Opera singer. EDDIE McKNIGHT - is a Lieutenant jg in the Navy and records for Capitol in his spare time. CARL SCOTT - has become famous for his revolutionary new ideas on conservation of soil and methods of farming. ALFRED CHUTES - is principal of Carthage-Troy and Virginia Crites is his secretary. ROSEMARY PRICE - is happily married and the mother of four lovely youngsters. RAY HAPNEY - is head of an exclusive model agency in New York. NORMA SAMS - won an Oscar for her portrayal of Verna Wilson in RKO's Stop the Wedding! ROY PULLINS - is assistant head bookkeeper at Chrysler Corp. and is doing quite well for himself. NANCY WILDMAN - was voted Best-Dressed Woman of the Year. RONNIE VOGELSONG - is a famous radio commentator and has replaced Lowell Thomas on CBS. BERNICE SAMS - is happily married and the mother of Six daughters. VIVIAN RANDOLPH - is an airline hostess for TWA airlines. And so the door is again closed on our memories. We only hope the next ten years will be as good to us as the last ten. We will never forget the good old days at Troy High. Isabella Birkbeck
