Black cats and witches, rag-a-muffins and even a superman were seen at the end of October when each room had a Hallowe'en party. At Christmas time the rooms glowed with trees, San- ta Clauses, bells and wreaths. ' Gifts were exchanged, and the children were treated. The grades gave an operetta entitled 'Toys Come to Life.N In February bow and arrow. rOOme The children Reading Circle all five books. EIGHTH GRADE NEWS President --------------------------- Russell Ruch Vice President ----------------- ---Helen Urban Secretary-Treasurer-- -------- - ------ Roy Christen Reporter ------------------ ------- --Grace Emmitt Sponsor ----------------------------- Miss B esler Mary Langell from North Troy joined our class, mak- ing our enrollment ll. The class enjoyed their first party in October at Fort Meigs and the Perrysburg Skating Rink. A simple Christmas party, consisting of an exchange of gifts followed by refreshments, was held December 22. Two assembly programs have been given by the eighth grade. The first was a play, NTom's Thanksgiving Par- tyn and the second was a Radio Television Program. In the interclass tournament the eighth grade girls were defeated by the sophomore girls in their first game by a score of 20 to 8. The boys lost to the sen- ior boys by a score of L3 to 13. SEVENTH GRADE NEWS President -------------------- I ------ Keith Fleming Vice President ----------------------- Bonnie Kopp Secretary-Treasurer ------------- Kathleen Kurfess Reporter --------------------------- Darlene Myers Sponsor --------------------------------- Mr. Amos The seventh grade started the school year with an enrollment of twenty-one. The only one to leave the class was Donald VanDyke, who moved to Holland, Michi- gan. His place was taken by Richard Crispen, who en- tered from the Junior High School at Bowling Green. The class had one party last fall. On that occas- ion they went to Pearson Park. A very enjoyable time was had riding bicycles and horses and roller skating at the rink there. Our boys' and girls' teams were defeated in the in- terclass basketball tournament--the boys losing to the sgnior team 43-13 and the girls to the junior team L -ll.
