SENIQIQ CLASS HISTOIQY In the fall of 1940 eighteen boys and girls were inf itiated into high school., The main event of the year was the freshman-sophomore Wiener roast at the home of Ruth Kopp. - Sixteen members were enrolled at the beginning of the sophomore year. Three members left us, Ann Well- ing, Beatrice Aspacher and Melvin Whitzelg and two joined us, Glenn Reamsnyder and Mildred Hutson. The sophomores had a Christmas party at Donald Schmeltz's. The junior year started with fifteen members, six girls and nine boys. Joe Carr left us during the yean We ordered our class rings on September 24. Next came our first play WWild Gingeru on February 9. On May lb we gave the Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom. On the Saturday before meat rationing we had a wiener roast at Bowling Green Park. Our Last Year--We began the year with an enrollment of fourteen, six girls and eight boys. Donald Stewart had left us during the summer. we had our pictures taken on October 123 then our play WThat Watkins' Girln on November 23. During this year, Glenn Ream- snyder returned from the Army with a medical discharge and Marvin Moenter was inducted. Both Leon Bockbrader and Wayne Samson withdrew from school, leaving the class with twelve members to graduate. Last, but not least, the event we all looked forward to--Commence- ment! I SENIOR CLASS PKOPHECY Leaving the San Diego Naval Base Hospital for New York is quite exhilarating. I wonder if I have my plane ticket. Yes, here it is ---- Patricia Reamsnyder, Navy Nurse, written across it. I expect to hear Madame Rosemary Fortlander, an opera star, sing in HCarmen.N Gosh, that stewardess looks familiar. Why, it's Mildred Hutson. WHello, Midgeln Look who're getting on the plane--Major Marvin Moenter and Commander Don- ald Schmeltz.
