DEUHUCDU2 NCDUUESS President -------- -------- Lyle Myers Vice President ------------- ---Marvin Moenter Sect'y-Treasurer ---- --------- -------- Joanne Huss Class Reporter --------- ------ ---Glenn Reamsnyder Sponsor ----------------- ------------- Miss Mackling Class flower ---- ---Talisman Rose Class colors ----- ---- Cream and Green Our junior year started with sixteen members, six girls and nine boys. Then Joe Carr dropped out of school making our enrollment fifteen. On September 2A we ordered our class rings and re- ceived them in due time. My,we were proud of them! Two big events of the year were the junior play NWUA Gingern given on February 9, and the junior-senior ban- quet given on May lL. The banquet was in the form of a prom this year. We danced in the gym. The play helped us to meet a lot of our banquet ex- penses, but not all of them, so we sponsored two skat- ing parties at Perrysburg. We made a good showing in football and basketball. Lyle Myers, Donald Schmeltz, Donald Stewart and Glenn Reamsnyder were out for football. These same boys with Marvin Moenter and Luther Samson were out for basket- ball, baseball, and track. The boys were the champions of the inter-class basketball tournament. Not willing to let the boys out-do them, Rosemary Fortlander and Joanne Huss were in the Girls' Chorus. Our assembly programs consisted of plays, readings, speeches, and singing with each one participating at some time. Now, WAl1 work and no play makes Jack a dull boyn, so on March 30, the Saturday before meat rationing, the juniors had a weiner roast at Bowling Green City Park. Afterwards some went to a show, some danced, and some bowled. 26
