HUEFUEQS EPCDCDEL Way back in 1931 A group of students entered school. This group is now our senior class Who stuck one toe into life's pool. The next year found this model group Advanced into the second gradeg For after testing out the pool They started into wade. So on they struggled, up and up Each year more brilliant than the pastg And then in 1939 They reached the freshman class at last. Initiation came this year And strange sights wandered through the halls. The boys were all seen holding dolls The girls were wearing overalls. The next year found them sophomoresg They all were growing just like weeds. They didn't have much trouble for Their brilliant minds solved all their needs. The junior year was next in line Along with it came their class ringsg The banquet and the junior play All these occurnn and other things. The senior class, the top at last Their efforts had not been in vaing They'd learned and studied all their years The teachers' work had been their gain. The school began to feel the war When Gene departed from the class. The mails now seem so very full Of notes to him from every lass. They now are leaving all of us They're marching from Troy School.
