f ,fer 3 ' 5- c :J gli bs y J A I - W aa ' The House That Jack Bullt Nancy Gray '49 As I sit here, I can see a small, white cottage with dark green shutters It is set 1n the midst of a patch of short, green grass and 1S surrounded by a whlte plcket fence As I walked up tze cobble stone path a short tlme ago, the front door opened to me I entered a small, lnviting hallway Through the door at the left was a large, homey, 1lV1Hg room with a burning f1replace The marooncolored sofa and rug, and the maple table and radio made a comfortable picture for restful evenings at home Beyond thls room was a small d1n1ng room wlth a cozy dinette set and a sldeboard Through the glass door of the sldeboard a llght blue dlnner set could be seen and also a sterling silverware set whlch shone and sparkled at me The sw1nging door 1n the corner opened into a unique, modern kit chen It was of whlte and black tlllng with all the modern con venlences of today I walked through the house and upstairs found three small but sunny bedrooms One room was decorated for a nursery, another in multi colored chintz and the largest room in frilly, white muslln This room boasted a large canopy bed Back downstalrs to the basement I wandered and dlscovered a small laundry and a large recreation room which furnlshed many hours of relaxation and fun The whole house was perfect in every way Did you ask me where you can find such a house?
