’64 Trojan Football The Trojans were coached by a new man this year, Larry Scherich. They employed several different offenses, the single wing and a variation of the T formation. Neither offense seemed to do much good, because of a lack of experience. Larry Reder, a senior quarterback, led the team in scoring with 20 points. He received a lot of help from his halfbacks, Mick Koehler and Bill Herring. One highlight of the season took place during the Sts. Peter and Paul game. With the ball deep in Troy territory, Mick Koehler ran 90 yards for a touchdown. This brought new hope to the squad and spectators. Although the Trojans had an unsuccessful season the most important thing of all, spirit was not lost. Troy Visitors 0 Highland 34 6 Midway 13 14 Sts.
